Let's rewind. Bourbon was born in the late 1700s when Kentucky farmers decided to get creative with their extra corn. They aged it in charred oak barrels, and boom—magic happened. By law, bourbon must be made in the U.S., contain at least 51% corn, and be aged in new charred oak barrels. Yes, bourbon has rules—just like your last relationship—but at least these make it taste better.

Legend has it that Baptist minister Elijah Craig was the OG bourbon master, accidentally discovering the charred barrel trick. Whether that's true or just whiskey folklore, we raise our glasses to him anyway.
